About this Event
Why is it that we can change our circumstances, solve problems, achieve goals, distract ourselves, stay busy — and still not feel truly at peace?
What are we actually searching for when we keep looking outside ourselves for the next solution?
And what if some of the habits we use to cope with are actually keeping us stuck?
In this experiential mindfulness and emotional awareness class, we’ll explore some of the unconscious patterns that can keep us caught in stress, struggle and disconnection — often without us realizing it.
We’ll look at why understanding ourselves is such an important first step in creating meaningful change, what can happen when difficult emotions are repeatedly pushed away, and why reconnecting with the body can help us develop greater awareness, resilience and inner steadiness.
You’ll also be guided through simple breathing and body-awareness practices designed to help quiet mental overactivity and bring attention back into the present moment.
The session concludes with an immersive guided meditative story designed to bring the teachings to life in a deeper, more experiential way.
What keeps us searching?
Why do we get caught in the same patterns?
And where does peace actually come from?
Come explore the questions for yourself.
