About this Event
In-Person Introduction to Mindfulness Class in Prospect Park
This 4-week in-person course offers a practical, secular, supportive introduction to mindfulness meditation and everyday awareness. The program is designed for people who want simple, effective tools to work with stress, distraction, and the challenges of everyday life—no prior meditation experience required.
Each weekly session builds progressively, helping you establish a sustainable, personal practice while integrating mindfulness into daily life.
This course will be held in Prospect Park on four consecutive Saturdays: 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24. Each class starts at 2:00 PM with a hard stop at 3:30 PM.
In the event of rain, an alternate location will be provided.
Practicing mindfulness outdoors adds an element of discovery and connection to our environment—we’re not just sitting with ourselves, but opening our awareness to the world around us. The sounds of birds, the breeze on our skin, changing light, and people moving through the park all become part of the practice. Rather than distractions, they give us a chance to practice being present with whatever arises, while enjoying the calm, spaciousness, and restorative benefits of being in nature.
Discover how mindfulness can help you live with greater clarity, calm, and compassion in these challenging times.
