About the eventJoin us Saturday, November 14, at the Springfield Soundstage from 6:00–9:00 p.m. for FilmsGiving—a relaxed evening celebrating the filmmakers, projects, and partnerships growing Southwest Missouri’s film industry.
Connect with regional filmmakers, community leaders, and film supporters while enjoying light hors d’oeuvres and drinks. The evening will include a short panel discussing the film industry in Southwest Missouri, including recent productions, tax incentives, opportunities to get involved, and what's happening across the region. This will be followed by an exclusive showcase of trailers from upcoming locally made feature films.
Guests will also have opportunities to meet the filmmakers, learn about current productions, and make new creative and professional connections throughout the evening.
Filmsgiving will support a community food drive benefiting Ozarks Food Harvest. Guests are encouraged to bring nonperishable food donations, with the most-needed items including canned meat, peanut butter, boxed meals, rice, pasta, beans, soups, stews, cereal, and canned fruits and vegetables.
