Buddha in a Traffic Jam 🎬Special Film Screening presented by the Indo-Canada Arts Council
Join us for a special screening of Buddha in a Traffic Jam, presented by the Indo-Canada Arts Council (ICAC) as part of its programme celebrating the vibrant cultural and artistic connections between Canada and India.

Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, Buddha in a Traffic Jam is a provocative drama that follows a young economics student whose ideas and convictions bring him into conflict with powerful forces within his university and beyond. The film explores themes of power, ideology, politics, corruption, freedom of expression and personal conviction, offering audiences plenty to reflect upon and discuss.

The film invites us to look at the choices individuals make when their beliefs are challenged - and at the consequences that can follow when ideas encounter institutions, power and competing worldviews.
