Come along to see H is for Hawk. The book follows Macdonald as she copes with the sudden death of her father, Alisdair, a photojournalist, in 2007.
To process her grief, she buys a notoriously temperamental young Eurasian goshawk named Mabel for £800 in Scotland and brings her to Cambridge to train her.
