Want to draw the human figure with stronger proportions, structure, and depth?Figure Drawing introduces classical techniques for observing and constructing the human form. You’ll practice measuring proportions, building figures with geometric forms, and using light, shadow, and edges to refine your drawings.
You’ll study the body from the inside out, beginning with skeletal structure and building outward. You’ll also experiment with different approaches to interpreting the figure and developing your own visual style.
All skill levels are welcome. This course includes drawing from a nude model. Supplies are required.
The class also includes a First Thursday Art Walk field trip to Pioneer Square on Nov. 5 from 6:30–9:30 p.m. Students provide their own transportation.
