About this Event
This is not a lecture, and it’s not “just tough it out”. Brilliance of Brotherhood is an in-person peer circle for Black and Latinx men to do real work together: process grief, dismantle harmful masculinity norms, explore fatherhood/partnership, and build emotional literacy and accountability.
You’ll be in a room where vulnerability is treated as strength and accountability is part of the medicine—not shame, not posturing.
Program goal
Empower young men and adult men through mentorship and personal development—focused on:
- Leadership and responsibility
- Emotional intelligence and self-reflection
- Practical strategies for stress, relationships, and personal growth
- A holistic approach to health (mental, social, and physical)
Who it’s for
Black and Latinx men of all ages who want:
- stronger emotional skills (not just “control it”)
- better fatherhood/partnership habits
- accountability that pushes growth without disrespect
What to expect
- Facilitated conversation and structured prompts (you can share or just listen)
- Space to talk about grief, pressure, identity, and relationships without getting clowned
- Skill-building around emotional regulation, communication, and follow-through
- Peer support from men of color who actually show up for each other
Group agreements (the non-negotiables)
Most men’s circles that work are explicit about this: respect, confidentiality, and accountability.
In this group:
- Confidentiality: what’s shared stays here
- Respect + no interrupting: listen to understand
- No unsolicited advice: support first; advice only if requested
- Speak from “I”: own your experience
- Share airtime + show up on time: everyone matters
