FIELDS 💙🎷🎹🎸🎻🥁🪘🪇 FIELDS are an Eora based collective led by guitarist/ producer YIANNI ADAMS & percussionist KALON CAPTAIN. Known for their freeform improvisations, FIELDS explore themes of minimalism, repetition & responsive interplay, bridging the gap between ambient grooves & afro-jazz. The group formed in 2023 when Yianni & Kalon, alongside HARRY TOMPSETT on sax & KURT LAM on keys, recorded several freeform improvisations, many of which became the foundation of their debut self-titled album released in April 2025 via the independent Sydney label CG Discs.
Through the joy of pure spontaneity FIELDS embrace an open, boundary-less approach to music, guided by the simple rule to listen & be present.
