Grandview Cemetery Bird Walk Friday and Saturday, October 23 and 24
Leaders: Nolan Bunting and Dave Leatherman
Join us for an early evening walk through Grandview Cemetery, one of Fort Collins’ most unexpected birding spots. As daylight fades, the cemetery settles into a quiet rhythm where owls, brown creepers, and crows often make an appearance. Nolan and Dave will guide us through this 1.5 hour outing, sharing observations about the birds and trees we encounter along with a few of the well known stories tied to the cemetery’s history.
The walk is mild and moves at a steady pace. We’ll begin at 5 p.m. and finish at dusk. Meet at the Mountain Ave entrance near City Park and please bring a headlamp or flashlight. Registration is required for this trip and is capped at 15 participants.
