About this Event
Dear Epic Students and Families,
Join us for a field trip to the Oklahoma State Capitol on Thursday, December 3rd, in Oklahoma City! We will have multiple start times for families to choose what time works best for their schedule. Each floor of the Capitol has artwork related to Oklahoma History to view and learn about that all ages will enjoy! After exploring the Capitol, everyone will be able to enjoy the Oklahoma museum on the ground floor and the gift shop located on the ground floor. The Capitol also has a Cafe is a great place to grab lunch or bring your laptop for a study break! Guided tours are available but are only for 6th-12th graders by request of the Capitol, no exceptions or younger siblings, thank you for your understanding as we want to respect the capitol rules for our field trip. If you would like more information about this location to determine if your students would enjoy the experience, please click the link below or visit the website link at the bottom of the page.

Policies:
Our field trips are student-centered. We ask that you help us by allowing students to be toward the front of the tour and room. Parents and caregivers may be asked to be toward the back of the room so as not to obstruct the view for students.
Students cannot be dropped off to attend a field trip without a parent or guardian unless they are of driving age and drive themselves.
Pathways Students: Pathways students may only participate when attending with their own enrolled Epic child. Please register as a guest, not as a student, since student reservations are for students age 18 and under only.
Media Policy: This is a public event, and photographs and/or video may be taken during the activity. If you prefer your student not to have a photograph or video taken, please let our Epic staff know during check-in.
Service Animals: Families, please contact the event location directly to confirm whether service dogs are allowed.
Sensory Bags: Sensory bags will be available to check out for use at this event. Upon arrival, see any Epic Family Engagement team member to check a bag out and return all sensory bags to an Epic Family Engagement team member before leaving the event.
Sign Language Services: To request a sign language interpreter for an Epic student at this event, please use this link: ASL Request Link. Requests must be submitted at least 72 hours in advance of the event. The link can also be found on the Epic under the About tab → Requests & Forms.
CANCELLATIONS: How do I cancel my reservation? To cancel the reservation and allow other students to attend in those spots, you will go to the email sent from Eventbrite with the subject line: Your Tickets for the Oklahoma Capitol field trip. Then scroll to the bottom of the email and click the words "View and Manage your online order." This will open up spots for other families and is very important, as the location needs accurate numbers before we arrive.
What is the inclement Weather Plan? If we have inclement weather, we will send out communication by email through Eventbrite to let you know if the field trip has been canceled.
