You’ve walked past Central’s iconic historic architecture countless times - but have you ever paused to wonder about the stories behind those grand facades and narrow lanes?
Now is the perfect time to uncover the secrets woven into the city’s stone and steel.
RGS-HK is pleased to present the Central Iconic Historical Heritage Walking Tour - a guided journey through the heart of Hong Kong’s Central and Western District.
Starting at Statue Square, we will journey past the iconic landmarks HSBC Building and the Court of Final Appeal, where old and new architecture meet. Highlights include the Former French Mission Building, the serene St John’s Cathedral, and the historic gas lamps of Duddell Street. We will pass the elegant Bishop’s House and the creative Fringe Club before concluding at Tai Kwun - a former police compound now reborn as a vibrant cultural hub.
Step back in time as we trace the footsteps of merchants, soldiers, and visionaries. From colonial buildings to hidden alleyways, each stop reveals a tale of resilience, transformation, and heritage that shaped the city we know today.

Details:
Meet up at Statue Square at 3.30 pm;
Dismiss at Hollywood Road at 6.30 pm.
Cost:
$380 for members and $480 for guests. $200 for student members.
