Field of Dreams Wiffle Classic | Big League Wiffle Ball Tournament

Big League WIFFLE Ball's innagural Field of Dreams Wiffle Open will be held on Saturday, September 26th! All ages are welcome to form a team of 3-5 players and compete on the official movie site field in this one of a kind experience. The infamous corn will serve as the home run line for all players.

Overview

All teams will compete at the Field of Dreams Movie Site. All teams are guaranteed four pool play games prior to the top eight teams advancing to a single-elimination playoff bracket. The first place team will receive a commemorative trophy.

Details:

• Each team can have 3 to 5 players. All ages are welcome.

• Defense will have 3 players, including the pitcher.
• Games are 4 innings or 50 minutes, whichever comes first.
• Teams are guaranteed 4 pool play games. The top 8 teams will advance to a single elimination playoff bracket.

• There is base running.

• Teams will need to bring their own bats and balls, which will be inspected before play. Bats must be the official yellow WIFFLE bats.
• The tournament will emphasize hit ability and pitching to contact. A pitching speed limit of 60 MPH will be enforced with an honor code system and occasional radar checks. Recreational gameplay is the push over high velocity, pitchers are expected to self-regulate. Hitters can call a heat check warning and both parties can mutually agree to slow down slightly to meet requirements.

• Scuffing and cutting the ball is allowed within limitations. Pitchers cannot throw balls with different modifications (i.e. Throwing a scuff and clean ball).

• Teams are required to dress in the same color. Uniforms are encouraged.

• General Admission tickets are free at the door.

Prohibited Items:

• The following items are not permitted in the stadium: illegal drugs, fireworks, firearms or weapons of any kind, pepper spray, and outside food and beverage (except for one sealed, plastic bottle of water). All bags are subject to search upon entering the complex.
