About this Event
An opportunity to meet fellow fibro warriors to share experiences, feel supported and uplifted by this incredible community.
This event will be split between two venues: Mind & Motion reformer pilates studio and Be Wyld cafe just a few doors down on Streatham High Road, in south west London.
Arrive from 3pm at Be Wyld - we have an area booked - and mingle with your fellow fibro fighters while enjoying tea, coffee, smoothies and delicious, nourishing food. Thank you to the owner Alper for reserving this space for us!
For those who would like to try out a reformer pilates class, the amazing Kelly at Mind & Motion and instructor Thea King (@theakingmovement on Instagram) have very kindly gifted us the space and their time so we can move our bodies together in a safe space. The class is optional, if you want to come to Be Wyld but not do the class, that is totally fine.
This is a judgement free zone, come exactly as you are and all levels are welcomed - this is a moment to make the most of trying something new surrounded by people who truly understand how it feels to live with fibromyalgia.
It doesn't matter what you look like, if you're nervous or experienced, all that matters is showing up as YOU.

You'll be in safe hands with the lovely Thea, who lives with fibromyalgia herself and is crafting this class to be fibro-friendly. Personally, I attend Thea's classes and she is one of the best instructors I know, so this is very exciting! Thank you Thea!
The first class will be at 3.30pm and there are 8 spots available. If there's enough interest for us to do a second class, this will be at 4.30pm.
Classes at Mind & Motion are usually £27 a session but thanks to Kelly's generousity will be free of charge for this event. Kelly's mum lives with fibromyalgia, so this is a cause close to her heart too. Thank you Kelly!
To secure your place for the reformer class please make a donation of £20 to Fibro Futures on this link to support getting the charity off the ground (more info below), then email me a screenshot of your donation confirmation to [email protected]. This is on a first come, first served basis and there will then be a waiting list in case we have any drop outs.
The reformer class is optional, so if you'd like to attend and simply hang out at Be Wyld, please do. This is your event, there are no rules.
We will provide grippy socks for the class but please do come dressed in your workout gear. There's an area to change at the studio if you prefer - personally I'm going to wear my workout stuff, it's comfy!
If you are planning on attending either part of the day, please confirm by booking your place so I have an idea of numbers.

About Fibro Futures
I'm just a gal with an idea and the passion to make it happen.
The charity's mission is to build better futures for people living with fibromyalgia.
When I was diagnosed in 2019 I was given a scrap of paper with 'fibromyalgia' written on it, with no support or understanding of the condition. Since then, through trial and error, I've learnt the importance of mental health, diet and exercise in managing my symptoms and want to develop a programme that people can access free of charge to support them to live well despite their challenges.
It's a big undertaking but I'm so passionate about making sure nobody experiences the fear and confusion I did on that day, and that nobody newly-diagnosed or already living with fibromyalgia feels alone.
Therapy, personal training, and nutritional advice is expensive and not everyone has the money to afford this - I think this is wrong and want everyone, no matter their financial situation, to be able to access resources and support that will set them up for a better future with fibromyalgia.
To make this dream happen, I need your help. And I hope this event can kick-start fundraising!
