7pm-9pmWolverhampton glass artist Suzie from Suzie Lavender Contemporary Glass will be at The Codsall Hive teaching a relaxed evening session of fused glass making techniques. These workshops are suitable for beginners or as a refresher course.
Festive Glass Garlands - In this workshop you will design and create a hanging 2D glass Garland. You will construct and create a garland shape (approx12-14cm wide) by cutting, layering and gluing various pieces of glass and accessories, and adding decoration in a colour scheme of your choice. You will learn some basic glass fusing and layering techniques with coloured glass. Participants will be introduced a selection of materials and tools. All participants will make a large single hanging garland shape which will be fused together in a kiln following the workshop and be ready to collect two weeks later. A ribbon can then be strung through to hang your garland in your home!
Participants who are regular attendees of Suzie’s workshops are welcome to make different projects to save repetition if they contact Suzie in advance.
All creations will be kiln fired by Suzie following the sessions and then collection from Codsall Hive (or postage of the work can be organised for a small fee) from 14 days later.
