What would it feel like to watch drawings come to life through dance — or to build your own poem and step directly into it? Come find out at the opening of the Festival of Augmented Dance, Finland's first festival dedicated to the dialogue between dance and technology. It's a relaxed evening to explore the festival programme, meet the artists and unwind over coffee, tea and light snacks.
On the opening programme:
- Marta Kosieradzka's performance 'Material Landscapes of Impermanence' – drawings inspired by dance, brought back to life through movement, costume and sound (15min performance takes place at 6:30pm)
- Amit Palgi's immersive VR installation 'Cycle' – breaking everyday routine with poetry and dance
- A screening of 5 short dance films by Nikolay Shchetnev, Silja Tuovinen, Olga Uzikaeva, Ongoing Realities and Xulu202x
- An exhibition of AR-enhanced dance photographs created by Ongoing Realities
The dance films continue in the Itu Artlab window all week, right through to Saturday 28 November.

Miltä tuntuisi nähdä piirustusten heräävän eloon tanssin avulla – tai rakentaa oma runo ja astua sen sisään?
Tule mukaan Festival of Augmented Dancen avajaisiin, Suomen ensimmäiseen tanssin ja teknologian vuoropuheluun keskittyvään festivaaliin. Vietämme rennon illan, jonka aikana pääset tutustumaan festivaalin ohjelmaan, tapaamaan festivaalilla esiintyviä taiteilijoita ja rentoutumaan kahvin, teen ja pienen purtavan äärellä.
Illan ohjelmassa:
- Marta Kosieradzkan esitys 'Material Landscapes of Impermanence' – tanssista innoituksen saaneet piirustukset heräävät uudelleen eloon liikkeen, puvustuksen ja musiikin avulla (15min pituinen esitys alkaa klo 18:30)
- Amit Palgin mukaansatempaava VR-installaatio 'Cycle' arjen rutiinien rikkomisesta runouden ja tanssin keinoin
- Viiden lyhyen tanssielokuvan näytös, tekijöinä Nikolay Shchetnev, Silja Tuovinen, Olga Uzikaeva, Ongoing Realities ja Xulu202x
- Ongoing Realitiesin luoma AR-tehostettujen valokuvien näyttely
Tanssielokuvat ovat nähtävissä Itu Artlabin ikkunassa koko viikon, aina lauantaihin 28. marraskuuta asti.
