🎟️📺 RETOUR DE KEEP IT WEIRD ! 📺🎟️Pour une quatrième édition, cette fois-ci les 20 et 21 novembre, le quartier Hochelaga, aussi appelé « Hochelag » pour les intimes, devient la capitale du cinéma étrange. Pendant deux soirs cette fois-ci, Keep It Weird envahit la ville avec un mélange délirant de cinéma déjanté qui refuse de suivre les règles.
Deux soirées, deux programmes différents, un voyage hallucinant vers l’inconnu et l'absurde. Les deux événements auront lieu au même endroit, au Studio PJE / Productions Jeun'Est situé au 4560 Rue Adam à Montréal.
📅 20 novembre – Programme de courts métrages
L’étrange et l’absurde à l’honneur !
Là où tous les films bizarres sont acceptés, là où l'étrange est au rendez-vous. "Banger" après "banger" de pure bizarrerie et de non-sens époustouflant !
📅 21 novembre – Make It Weird Film Competition
Inspirée par la soirée de projection du festival, la compétition Make It Weird! suit les mêmes règles que celles de Party Pooper, mais s’ouvre à un cinéma de genre plus large au profit d’un bassin de cinéastes encore plus diversifié. Le thème cette année : Drôle d'instrument.
🎬 Les participant·e·s de Make It Weird! étaient invité·e·s à soumettre un court métrage étrange, absurde ou décalé d’une durée de 5 minutes ou moins, avec une limite de budget de 200 $ seulement. Un objet inusité, variant d’une édition à l’autre, leur était également imposé.
La soirée phare du festival présente des courts métrages de moins de 5 minutes réalisés avec 200 $ ou moins. Ça semble « cheap », et on peut confirmer que ça l’est. Cette soirée de clôture promet l’un des programmes les plus chaotiques, un magnifique déraillement cinématographique. Prix en argent pour les gagnants et bière en vente sur place pour le public, histoire de se mettre dans l’ambiance avant l’imprévisible.
Un jury externe déterminera le court métrage gagnant de la compétition Make It Weird.
Deux soirs. Plus de films. Aucune censure.
De la comédie noire aux expériences avant-gardistes en passant par le délire d'animation, une chose est certaine : We will Keep It Weird.

For its fourth edition, this time on November 20th and 21st, the Hochelaga district, also known as "Hochelag" to locals, becomes the capital of strange cinema. For two nights, Keep It Weird takes over the city with a delirious mix of offbeat films that refuse to follow the rules.
Two evenings, two different programs, a mind-bending journey into the unknown and the absurd. Both events will take place at the same location: Studio PJE / Productions Jeun'Est, located at 4560 Adam Street in Montreal.

The strange and the absurd take center stage!
Where all bizarre films are welcome, where the strange is guaranteed. Banger after banger of pure weirdness and breathtaking nonsense!
📅 November 21 – Make It Weird Film Competition
Inspired by the festival's screening night, the Make It Weird! competition follows the same rules as Party Pooper, but expands to a wider range of genres, benefiting an even more diverse pool of filmmakers. This year's theme: Strange Instrument.
🎬 Make It Weird! participants were invited to submit a strange, absurd, or offbeat short film of 5 minutes or less, with a budget of only $200. They were also required to include an unusual object, which varies from year to year.
The festival's flagship event showcases short films under 5 minutes made with a budget of $200 or less. It sounds cheap, and we can confirm it is. This closing night promises one of the most chaotic programs, a magnificent cinematic derailment. Cash prizes for the winners and beer for sale on site for the audience, just to get in the mood before the unpredictable.
An external jury will determine the winning short film of the Make It Weird competition.
Two nights. More films. No censorship.
From dark comedy to avant-garde experiments to animated madness, one thing is certain: We Will Keep It Weird.
