About this Event
Join the Feminist Bird Club Orange County on a beginner-friendly event for birders of all levels. All are welcome, especially LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC-identifying folks, people with disabilities, and women.
Huntington Central Park is an “eBird hot spot.” The 350+ acre park features a mix of mature trees, dense shrubbery, seasonal marshy areas, and water features. This variety attracts a wide range of species, from waterfowl and herons to warblers and raptors.
After the walk, we will get tea/coffee at the Park Bench Cafe and discuss the birds we saw. An optional Nature Journaling event will be held at noon in the Library.
Bring binoculars if you have them. We also have a couple extra pairs of binoculars and are happy to lend them out on a first-come, first-served basis.
RSVPs are required. Please RSVP only if you plan on attending. Space will be limited so that we can ensure a welcoming and supportive environment for all
