Come on out to create felt critters with us! The perfect little decoration to bring a spark of life to your home. We'll be learning how to make various birds and other wildlife around the Preserve from felt! Make them for yourself, or as a gift for Valentine's Day.
No art experience needed—just bring your ideas, goals, and a willingness to experiment!
About BHNP Craft Club
Want to craft but don’t know where to start? Miss that summer camp vibe from years ago? Come join Blue Heron Nature Preserve's adults-only craft club, where we celebrate creativity and encourage sustainable practices. You’ll get the feeling of summer camp again (without the endless hours in the sun!)
Led by our own educators, Mac and Dusk, each meetup offers approachable projects, encouragement, and plenty of space to experiment.
Learn about sustainability
At Blue Heron, we believe creativity can care for the planet too. Our projects highlight:
- Using natural, recycled, or repurposed materials
- Upcycling old items into new creations
- Practicing simple mending and maintenance skills to extend the life of everyday items
- Working with eco-friendly supplies
- Reducing waste while sparking innovation
Each craft is a reminder that small choices can add up to a big difference for the Earth.
Pay-What-You-Can: All meetings are donation-based, with contributions helping cover the cost of supplies and keeping Craft Camp accessible to everyone.
Bring a Friend: RSVPs are requested to help us & you with planning, but walk-ins (and tagalongs!) are welcome too.
