Eliška Jirásková v animovaném dokumentu Lepší člověk mluví s muži, kterým silový trénink pomohl vyrovnat se s traumatem a začít jinak vnímat vlastní tělo. Šárka Leinweberová ve filmu Když se mraky ženou natočila meditativní portrét letové dispečerky Olgy a ptá se, kým jsme, když se všechna světla vypnou a systém přestane dávat pokyny. Můžeš se jich zeptat, jak filmy vznikaly. Moderuje Vojtěch Strakatý.

KineDok and the National Film Museum invite you to discover the finest and freshest Czech and German short documentaries! This year’s FEINKOŠT, a Czech-German short documentary film tour, brings together seven films under the title Beneath the Surface. They follow people trying to find their place in a world that demands more and more of them. 🪞🔎
After the screening, we'll be joined by the directors of two Czech films from the programme. In her animated documentary Better Man, Eliška Jirásková speaks with men who have found that strength training helped them cope with trauma and see their bodies in a new light. In When the Clouds Are Moving, Šárka Leinweberová creates a meditative portrait of air traffic controller Olga, asking who we are when all the lights go out and the system stops giving instructions. You'll have the chance to ask both filmmakers about the stories behind their films. The discussion will be moderated by Vojtěch Strakatý.
