Best-selling authors Omar Tyree and ReShonda Tate started their writing careers around the same time in the '90s. Their paths diverged, but both have been able to sustain successful careers as published authors for decades. Both are NAACP Image Award winners. Both have published dozens of titles. Both have entered the film industry: One of ReShonda's books was adapted into a movie, while Omar has been a screenwriter and filmmaker. It's 2026, and they are both still producing best-selling books.
