🇪🇺 🇯🇵FCI Specialty Show for Japanese Akita 🇪🇺Just a day before the first official event the AKIHO United Europe , we are delighted to announce that on Saturday, 17 October 2026, an FCI Specialty Show for Japanese Akita will take place in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic.
We are honoured to welcome Maureen Thompson (UK) as our judge a highly respected breeder, educator, and one of the most influential figures in the development of the Japanese Akita Inu in the United Kingdom. With over 40 years of judging experience and decades dedicated to the breed through her renowned TSOYU Kennel, Maureen has played a significant role in advancing the Japanese Akita both in the UK and across Europe.
This creates a truly unique opportunity for exhibitors.
🏆 One weekend – Two prestigious evaluation systems
On Saturday, your Akita can be evaluated under the FCI Breed Standard by one of Europe’s most respected breed specialists.
🇯🇵 On Sunday, the same dog can be presented under the traditional AKIHO evaluation system, judged by two experienced AKIHO judges from Japan.
Very rarely do exhibitors have the opportunity to compare their dogs under both the FCI and the traditional Japanese AKIHO standards during the same weekend, at the same venue.
Whether you are an experienced breeder or exhibiting your Akita for the first time, this weekend offers an exceptional chance to gain valuable opinions from internationally respected judges while enjoying a unique celebration of the breed.
