About this Event

F*Choir is a 70-strong, queer-led ensemble that radically reimagines what choral singing can be - bold, high-energy, full-body music that celebrates collective liberation, joy, and embodied resistance.

Performing a fresh, urgent repertoire, F*Choir takes over EartH for one night only on Sunday 7th June. Hot new arrangements will platform artists including Cleo Sol, Kate Nash, Katerina Gimon, Tracey Chapman and JADE, as well as certified original F*bangers by our own Rubie & Jenny Moore; plus Auclair, Beautiful Chorus and Beverly Glenn Copeland.

Fire is an essential source of life. As water’s angrier cousin, it gets a bad rap; a destroyer of things. But fire also gathers us together. Tending fires is an ancient communal practice. Controlled burns make way for whole ecosystems to survive. Before gender binaries, before politics, before race, before country lines, folks built fires. Around these fires, vocal traditions of storytelling and song were born.

While so much of our world is ablaze, we are negotiating our relationship to this fire - burning down what we don’t need, facing our inner heat, tending to the burns that hurt. We’re singing through our anger, love, sisterhood, war, resistance, water, solidarity, peace. The contradictions that exist within and around us.

Further Info//

Founded by composer and multidisciplinary artist Jenny Moore and co-led with Sophie Chapman and Bianca Stephens, F*Choir is a groundbreaking community choir that challenges traditional music methods, insteading drawing on embodied practice and oral traditions. Amplifying the work of criminally underrepresented women, trans, non-binary, and queer artists, they perform full-body percussive earworms & adventurous polyphony. At its core, F*Choir is about claiming the right to our own voices as people who have been historically marginalised and excluded.

Having captivated audiences across the UK and beyond, F*Choir has performed sold out gigs at iconic venues such as the barbican, Hoxton Hall, EartH Hackney, Bishopsgate Institute, Wellcome Collection and the MOTH Club. In 2025, they began an ongoing collaboration with the iconic Beverly Glenn Copeland, joining his UK tour with more dates set for 2026.

Audience feedback from our sold-out Barbican show:

“F*Choir took us on a profound song journey of magic realism with raw emotions & colourful surprises”

“It wasn’t just an auditory experience - the high I felt was visual, somatic, existential… every single cell of mine felt seen."

"F*Choir is one of the most radical and hope-giving choirs I’ve ever witnessed… genderless, borderless songs that champion the earth, our bodies, our rage, and our desperate will to breathe against the machine."
