About this Event
Presented by:
Ann Atkison
Executive Director of International House
Overview:
This training is built on the truth that Jesus’ plan is not for us to merely manage pain, but to enter into our pain with us and bring transformation. Together, we’ll explore how to walk with our refugee and immigrant friends as they unpack trauma and heart wounds through joy‑filled, trauma‑informed practices that work even for those who are non-literate or just beginning to learn English.
Our aim is to equip the body of Christ to come alongside hurting people with wisdom, compassion, and the steady, healing presence of Jesus.
Learning Objectives:
To introduce simple, joy‑building practices that strengthen resiliency and capacity in refugees and immigrants while gently guiding them as they learn to unpack heart wounds and traumatic experiences.
