For 128 years, Fountain Baptist Church has remained a place of faith, worship, fellowship, and service in Richmond’s East End.The church’s rich history includes an early chapel near 31st and O Streets under the leadership of Rev. H. R. Williams. In 1899, the congregation erected a larger sanctuary inspired by English church architecture. Fountain Baptist later continued its ministry on P Street, where generations of members have worshipped and served.
Today, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Patrick F. Taylor Sr., Fountain Baptist Church continues building upon that legacy by serving its members and surrounding community. Maintaining this ministry, however, requires the support of everyone who believes in its mission and wants to see it continue for future generations.
Please join us for Fountain Baptist Church’s 128th Church Anniversary on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Food and fellowship will follow the service.
