🎤 Meet Your Headliner: Michael Cintron
Two-time comedy-contest winner. Veteran South Florida performer. A comedian who's been helping build the local comedy scene for more than a decade.
Born in New York City, Michael "Mike" Cintron began performing stand-up after college and eventually became a shining star on the Palm Beach and Broward County comedy circuits.
His comedy combines crazy real-life stories, unfiltered, offbeat observations about society, and personal experiences that aren't always pretty—but are always hilarious.
Cintron has earned two notable comedy competition victories:
🏆 Winner — Boca Raton Comedy Festival Contest
🏆 Winner — National Lampoon's Underground Comedy Contest
He has also performed as a featured comedian on shows with nationally known stand-ups, including:
- Tom Segura — National touring headliner and co-host of Your Mom's House
- Christina Pazsitzky — Stand-up comedian and Your Mom's House co-host
- Sugar Sammy — Internationally touring comedian
- Flip Schultz — Veteran stand-up comedian and actor
- Dave Siegel — New York and South Florida comedy veteran
But Michael's influence extends beyond his own performances.
For years, he helped create opportunities for other comedians by booking and producing shows at the Funky Buddha Lounge and Brewery in Boca Raton, Dada in Delray Beach, and New Faces events associated with the Improv comedy circuit.
His work at Dada placed him at the center of one of South Florida's longest-running independent comedy open mics during that period.
Cintron has also appeared on radio programs, podcasts, and comedy showcases throughout the region. In 2026, he performed at Boca Black Box as part of the Halfway Off the Wagon Comedy Tour alongside Kevin Javier and Brian Coronado.
He's no stranger to the Tall Boy stage, either, having headlined previous editions of Fazzingo's Comedy Showcase to rave reviews, including the May 13 and July 22, 2026 shows.
If you enjoy stand-up that mixes storytelling, sharp observations, and a willingness to go places other comics might avoid, Michael Cintron is a headliner you don't want to miss.
🌟 Featuring Amy Isherwood
From professional cruise ship productions to South Florida stand-up comedy, Amy Isherwood knows her way around a stage.
A native of the Chicago area, Amy Isherwood developed an early passion for theater and the performing arts before attending the University of Iowa, where she graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a minor in Theatre.
Following college, she launched a professional performing career with Carnival Cruise Lines, eventually becoming a Dance Captain, responsible for supervising performers and helping manage live productions aboard the company's ships.
Her career with Carnival lasted approximately 10 years, giving her extensive experience performing before live audiences.
After settling in South Florida, Amy expanded into stand-up comedy while building a successful real estate career.
Her documented comedy appearances stretch back at least a decade.
In 2016, she participated in a Florida's Funniest Female comedy event, and in February 2017, she appeared as a special guest at Backroom Comedy Club at Tom's NFL Sports Bar & Grill in Miami Springs.
More recently, Amy has appeared at the Fort Lauderdale Improv, performed at independent South Florida comedy showcases, and participated in charity comedy events.
She's also a familiar face at Fazzingo's Comedy Showcase, having performed at Tall Boy alongside comedians including Raul Perez, Mark Orintas, Delta Da Great, and Sara Armour.
Amy's professional background is particularly interesting because she transitioned from highly choreographed theatrical productions to one of the least predictable performance formats imaginable: live stand-up comedy.
Come see a comedian whose experience in entertainment goes well beyond simply stepping up to a microphone.
🌟 Featuring Nhan Du
Stand-up comedian. Actor. Stunt performer. A veteran of the Miami comedy scene with credits stretching back more than 15 years.
Nhan Du has been part of South Florida's live comedy community since at least 2010, when he performed at the Casa de Ha-Ha comedy showcase at Sweat Records in Miami.
By 2011, Du was already being promoted as a South Florida comedy favorite and a frequent performer at the Miami Improv.
That year, he co-headlined Stand Up for Japan, a charity comedy event at Nova Southeastern University organized to support relief efforts following the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
The event brought together regional performers including Jamal Hattar, Scott Lenter, Lucas Connelly, Johann Luna, and Marc Zimmerman.
Nhan's entertainment experience also extends beyond traditional stand-up.
In 2015, he appeared on the podcast Zeroes on Heroes for an episode dedicated to Jackie Chan, where he was introduced as an actor, comedian, and stuntman.
The episode highlighted his work in independent film and stunt-related projects, including Patience and Cinematic Fight Studio.
His stand-up has also appeared online through Comedy Time, including a recorded performance titled Cool vs. Not Cool, in which he explores the sometimes ridiculous distinctions people make between what's socially acceptable and what isn't.
More recently, Nhan has appeared on South Florida comedy bills, including a 2026 West Palm Beach show featuring Chris Roe and a July 22 performance at Tall Boy alongside headliner Michael Cintron.
With a performance background spanning stand-up comedy, independent acting, and physical performance, Nhan brings an unusually varied entertainment résumé to the stage.
Don't miss the chance to see a performer whose roots in the Miami comedy circuit go back to the early 2010s.
🌟 Featuring Bobby Alaska
Bobby Alaska joins the November 4 lineup as a featured performer at Fazzingo's Comedy Showcase.
Bobby is an exciting up-and-coming comedian who got his start at Fazzingo's Comedy Open Mic a few short months ago. He's worked hard to build a solid set and become an energetic entertainer who always gets the crowd going.
This week, he'll bring his fun, fresh style to share the Tall Boy stage with Michael Cintron, Amy Isherwood, and Nhan Du for this week's curated Wednesday night stand-up showcase. If you love discovering the latest South Florida comedy talent, you won't want to miss this night!
Catch Bobby live in Boca Raton as part of an evening featuring experienced performers, an established South Florida headliner, and a post-show open mic.
🎙️ Hosted by Johnny Fazzingo
Brooklyn-born comedian Johnny Fazzingo is the host and producer behind Fazzingo's Comedy Showcase, a growing series of stand-up comedy events in Boca Raton and throughout South Florida.
Johnny began performing stand-up in January 2025 after completing a comedy workshop with veteran comedian Michael Panzeca, and quickly moved from learning the craft to producing and hosting recurring live comedy events.
Since then, he's performed at venues including the Fort Lauderdale Improv, Sadman Comedy Cafe, Club 52, and other South Florida comedy rooms.
As a producer, Johnny focuses on creating consistent opportunities for comedians to perform in front of real audiences, while giving local comedy fans access to quality live entertainment without the big comedy-club ticket prices.
At Tall Boy, he brings together established headliners, returning favorites, and newer talent for a weekly comedy showcase that keeps the Boca Raton stand-up community active and growing.
🎤 The Laughs Don't Stop There! Stay for the Comedy Open Mic After the Showcase
Think the show is over when the headliner leaves the stage? Think again!
Following Fazzingo's Comedy Showcase, Tall Boy keeps the laughs going with a live stand-up comedy open mic.
This is where the comedy gets wonderfully unpredictable.
You might see an experienced comic trying out brand-new jokes, an up-and-coming performer testing material for an upcoming show, or someone taking their first steps into stand-up comedy.
Unlike the scheduled showcase, where performers are booked in advance, the open mic creates opportunities for additional comedians to get stage time.
Why Stay for the Open Mic?
- 🎤 Watch local comedians develop new material.
- 😂 Experience jokes and performances you won't see anywhere else.
- 🌟 Discover emerging South Florida stand-up talent.
- 🤝 Meet comedians and connect with the local comedy community.
- 🎭 Enjoy even more live entertainment after the featured show.
Want to perform? Ask the host about open mic participation and sign-up availability.
Whether you're a comedian looking for stage time or a comedy fan who enjoys watching raw material take shape, stick around. Sometimes the most unexpected laughs happen after the main event.
