Dao Nguyen is a South Florida-based comedian who turns cultural differences, uncomfortable social interactions and the ordinary frustrations of everyday life into sharply observed stand-up.

His comedy has been described as clever, self-deprecating and mischievous, finding new angles in familiar situations that audiences immediately vibe with. When he is not performing comedy, Nguyen works as an optometrist serving patients in the South Florida community—giving him a professional perspective, a steady supply of human behavior to observe and an obvious advantage when someone in the audience claims they “didn’t see the punchline coming.”

Dao was a recent finalist in Florida's Funniest Comedian Contest, where he competed with thousands of the state's best and brightest comedians. He has also performed at Just The Funny Theater in Miami, appearing in the theater’s Stand Up Miami showcase in April 2025. He was also part of the lineup for Wellington’s Underground Comedy Night with Brian Coronado, Sammi Ray and Jess Laso.

In 2026, he performed with Chelsea Moxon and Big Pedro during the Fort Lauderdale Diaper Bank’s Community Heroes Gala, where comedy was incorporated into an evening recognizing local service and charitable impact.

At Tall Boy, Nguyen steps into the headlining position for a longer set built around his distinctive combination of professional life, cultural observations, personal awkwardness and the minor daily annoyances that become much funnier once someone finally says them out loud.

Earney Osuna is an outstanding stand-up comedian and independent comedy producer best known for organizing the Dumb Funny Comedy series.

Documented editions of Dumb Funny Comedy were produced at Brightside Tavern in Jersey City in 2024. Those events featured professional comedians from around the country, including performers with credits at New York’s Comedy Cellar.

Osuna later brought the Dumb Funny concept to South Florida, developing pop-up comedy shows in unconventional Miami spaces rather than relying exclusively on traditional comedy clubs. His Miami-area productions have included events at Cabana Miami, Collectors Club, Bodega Taqueria y Tequila, Imperial Moto Café and the Blu Dot furniture showroom in the Miami Design District.

That production experience gives Osuna an understanding of comedy from both sides of the microphone: creating material as a performer and building an atmosphere in which other comics can succeed.

He has also appeared at Revelry in Pompano Beach, where the venue described him as a South Florida crowd favorite whose fearless punchlines arrive quickly and keep the set moving.

Ryan Natusch is a South Florida comedian and host who has worked comedy events throughout Fort Lauderdale and Miami Beach.

In July 2025, Natusch hosted Comedy Night at GalleryOne in Fort Lauderdale, featuring headliner Carl Rimi and Big Pedro. He has also appeared at the Fort Lauderdale Improv as part of a multi-comedian winter festival lineup.

His Miami Beach credits include producing and performing at LOL Lounge, Rooftop Cinema Club comedy headlined by Ricky Cruz, and co-hosting the Sky High Comedy Showcase with Big A at Rooftop Cinema Club South Beach. The July 2026 Sky High show featured Sweet Feet Q, Del Henry, Brent O’Connor and Dan Weiss.

Working as both an emcee and a scheduled performer has given Natusch experience reading different rooms, adjusting to audience energy and keeping a live show moving when the night inevitably takes an unexpected turn.

At Tall Boy, he leaves the hosting responsibilities to Johnny Fazzingo and brings his own material to a lineup that connects the Palm Beach County, Broward County and Miami comedy scenes.

Carl Cinquino is a comedian and filmmaker whose creative background gives him a particularly strong understanding of setup, character, pacing, and payoff.

Cinquino studied filmmaking and stand-up comedy at the University of Florida, where his activities included the Florida Comedy Club. He later returned to South Florida and continued developing his voice as both a live performer and visual storyteller.

He wrote, directed, and edited the dark comedy short film Pop the Trunk, about two teenage friends taking an unexpected road trip while hiding a body in the trunk. The film received the 2025 Gasparilla International Film Festival Audience Award for College Short Film and was selected for the Tallahassee Film Festival, Indie Short Fest and the NYC Student Film Festival.

Cinquino’s film work has earned additional recognition. In 2026, the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications announced that Kosmic Lunches on the Green, created by Cinquino, Emma Casey and Isabel Benegas, received an Award of Excellence in the Broadcast Education Association Festival of Media Arts competition.

That filmmaking experience carries naturally into his stand-up. Cinquino approaches jokes with the instincts of someone accustomed to building scenes, establishing characters and taking an audience somewhere unexpected before revealing the payoff.

The show is hosted and produced by Brooklyn-born, South Florida-based comedian Johnny Fazzingo.

Fazzingo created Fazzingo’s Comedy Showcase to bring organized, professionally promoted stand-up shows to local venues while giving South Florida comedians more opportunities to perform in front of real audiences.

His Tall Boy showcases have featured established regional headliners, comedy-contest finalists, touring performers and emerging local comedians. Previous lineups have included Mike Cintron, Chris Roe, Delta Da Great, Sarge, Nadeem Awad, Sara Armour, Jon Applebaum, Jordan Cole and Raul Perez, among many other South Florida performers.

As host, Fazzingo opens the room, introduces each comedian, interacts with the crowd and keeps the evening moving between sets. His job is not simply to read names from the poster. He establishes the pace of the show and handles the spontaneous audience moments that make live comedy different from watching a prerecorded special.
