Dojo Entertainment Proudly Present:FATHER FUNK
UK / CAN
(Westwood Recordings, 19K, Jadu Dala)
bio:
Father Funk is on a mission to reinvent funk for the bass generation — fusing the heart and soul of live music with the raw power of modern bass music. Armed with a mischievous grin, thunderous energy, and a refusal to play by the industry’s rules, he’s carving his own path through the electronic music world. No major label. No corporate machine. Just pure, unfiltered creativity.
From underground bootlegs to international festival stages, Father Funk’s journey has been fuelled by a passion for breaking boundaries. His instantly recognisable sound — an intoxicating blend of Funk, Hip Hop, and Disco with everything from Dubstep to Drum & Bass — has earned him a loyal following worldwide. Along the way, he’s collaborated with heavyweights like Boogie T, Dirt Monkey, and SubDocta, and funk-fuelled peers like The Floozies, SoDown, The Sponges, and Slynk, while rocking crowds at Glastonbury (UK), Shambhala (CAN), Boomtown (UK), and Rainbow Serpent (AUS).
Now, with his forthcoming album Funk The System, Father Funk takes that vision to the next level. Self-produced, self-released, and unapologetically bold, the record is a rallying cry for doing things your own way. Featuring live instrumentation, boundary-pushing bass design, and collaborations with ProbCause, Zoska, Def3 and more, it’s the sound of an artist doubling down on his roots while charging headfirst into new territory.
This isn’t just another album cycle — it’s a statement. A celebration of independence, creativity, and the unshakable belief that music should have as much soul as it does bass.
