Fat Freddy's Drop jsou mezinárodně považováni za jednu z nejlepších světových živých kapel.
Tato nezávislá novozélandská kapela z Aotearoa vznikla v roce 1999 a z wellingtonské undergroundové scény se stala žánrově rozmanitou kapelou, která pravidelně vyprodává koncerty po Velké Británii, Evropě, Austrálii i doma.
Mezi lidi se dostali už deskou Based on a True Story, což je jejich první studiové album z roku 2005.
