See authentic 1920s fashion up close and discover how to recognize a beautifully made flapper dress — often created not by a famous fashion house, but by a skilled modiste (pronounced mo-DEEST), a fashionable dressmaker who could create something especially for one woman.
We’ll explore the details that reveal quality, hear the stories behind the clothes, try a little flapper slang, and have some fun stepping into the decade that helped usher in the modern age.
