About this Event
Join us at Patti's Place at Laurel Grove Wine Farm for an evening celebrating the fall harvest — a three-course, family-style dinner built almost entirely from farms within a short drive of your table.
Your Chef
Brandon Milhon, Head Chef at the Locke Store and Buttery Restaurant, and recently featured at the "Too Many Cooks" event at Sumac Restaurant in Sperryville, brings his seasonal, ingredient-first cooking to the farm for one night.
The Menu — Three Courses, Served Family Style
Appetizer — A mix of seasonal small plates from the garden, speciality cheeses and charcuterie
Main — Slow-roasted grass-fed and grass-finished lamb from Back to Basics Farm and beef from Ayrshire Farm, with seasonal sides
Dessert — A medley of harvest desserts
Vegetables come from our own market garden and our partners at Chilly Hollow Organic Farm — expect winter squashes, sweet potatoes, melon preserves, tomatoes, greens, garlic, and fresh herbs, among whatever else the season gives us.
Wine Pairings — $44 add-on
Five pours selected from the Patti's Place Wine Library, led by organic and farm-estate producers:
Welcome — Babylonstoren Sparkling Chenin Blanc 2024, from the famed Franschhoek farm estate
Appetizer — Reyneke "Vinehugger" Chenin Blanc 2024, certified organic from South Africa's biodynamic pioneer
Main — Domaine La Roubine Vacqueyras 2023 (certified organic Grenache-Syrah-Mourvèdre) and Babylonstoren Shiraz 2022, poured side by side with the lamb and beef
Dessert — Elvio Tintero Moscato d'Asti "Sori Gramella" 2024
Prefer to pick your own bottle? Wines from our Wine Library are available for purchase throughout the evening to enjoy with dinner.
