About this Event
Get ready for a fun-filled day of learning, competition, and all things beef cattle!
Join us on Saturday, November 21, 2026, for a hands-on youth beef cattle experience designed for Manatee County beef exhibitors and youth interested in learning more about the beef industry.
The day begins with participant check-in and weigh-in from 7:00–8:00 a.m., followed by the workshop at 8:30 a.m. sharp. This year’s featured topic is Beef Cattle Nutrition, where participants will learn how proper nutrition plays an important role in keeping their animals healthy, growing, and ready for the show ring. Participants will also have the opportunity to build their knowledge and hone their showmanship skills.
After the workshop, lunch will be provided for all participants.
Once lunch is finished and animals are prepared, it’s time to head into the Prospect Show, beginning promptly at 12:00 p.m. The show will start with Showmanship, followed by Heifers and concluding with Steers. The day is traditionally completed around 5:00 p.m., depending on the number of entries and the pace of the show.
Whether you are a current Manatee County beef exhibitor or a young person interested in getting started with beef cattle, we encourage you to join us! Come learn, gain valuable experience, meet other young livestock exhibitors, and have a great day with your animals.
Workshop participation is FREE for youth who are not entering an animal in the Prospect Show. We ask that all workshop participants register so we can plan appropriately for lunch.
Youth exhibitors: Registration is $25 per animal entry. Showmanship is free of charge
Come learn. Come compete. Come ready to grow your skills in the beef show ring!
