Hi FAPA Supporters and Friends,The FAPA 2026 Speech Tour is approaching, and I would like to send a friendly reminder about this exciting event.
Our featured speaker, Tony Hu, is a Taiwan-born former senior official at the U.S. Department of Defense and a retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel. He is widely recognized as a leading expert on U.S.–Taiwan security cooperation, military strategy, and Indo-Pacific affairs. With decades of experience in defense planning and policy at the Pentagon, Tony has been invited to speak at numerous international forums and has appeared on many Taiwanese media programs to provide expert analysis on cross-strait security, U.S. arms sales to Taiwan, asymmetric warfare, and other critical geopolitical issues.
To help you learn more about our speaker, I have included two YouTube interview links for your reference. These interviews were conducted by Lu Chieh (呂捷), a well-known Taiwanese history educator and commentator, and Yaita Akio (矢板明夫), a respected veteran journalist and geopolitical analyst. In these in-depth conversations, Tony shares his insights on cross-strait relations, U.S.–Taiwan security cooperation, military strategy, asymmetric warfare, and the evolving geopolitical landscape in the Indo-Pacific.
Please note that this presentation will be delivered in English.
