About this Event

Hosted in the wonderfully enchanting atmosphere of The Haunted Bookshop, this special fantasy-inspired Sip & Draw invites you into a world of myth, magic, and imagination. In celebration of 2026 — the National Year of Reading — we will spend the evening weaving together drawing, storytelling, and the spellbinding spirit of fantasy literature.

Guests will be presented with a curated selection of mystical and fantasy-inspired objects to draw from ancient curiosities and enchanted artefacts to mysterious natural specimens — all while enjoying a glass of wine or a non-alcoholic alternative.

All art materials will be provided, and no drawing experience is necessary — simply bring your imagination, your love of fantasy worlds, and your enthusiasm for drawing. Those who prefer their own sketchbooks or favourite materials are, of course, welcome to bring them along for comfort and familiarity.

To awaken our creativity, we will read and listen to excerpts from fantasy novels, folklore, myths, poetry, and otherworldly tales while atmospheric music fills the space around us.

A word of warning... magic has a habit of revealing itself in unexpected ways.
