Picture a world where 1313 Mockingbird Lane lies just north of the Mason-Dixon Line. In this world, the raw energy of rock ‘n’ roll meets the eerie charm of Transylvanian tombs, and vampires commiserate with werewolves in a back-alley bar. Welcome to Fangs & Twang—an Ypsilanti-based trio whose members each have decades of musical experience and over 10 years of band chemistry.Founded in 2014 with a theatrical concept, Fangs & Twang has evolved into a genre-blending powerhouse that fuses gothic horror, cryptozoology, classic rock, Americana, and outlaw country into a high-energy live show. Their eclectic sound delivers both humor and substance.
As Neda Ulaby of NPR’s Pop Culture Happy Hour put it: “This band is, I think, just about the best thing ever and more people should know about them.”
