Nejrychlejší romská dechovka a jedna z nejslavnějších a nejlegendárnějších romských kapel se vrací do Prahy!Nejrychlejší dechovková kapela na světě za svou čtvrtstoletí trvající kariéru odehrála více než 3000 koncertů po celém světě a vydala řadu vysoce ceněných alb. Jedna z nejlepších současných živých kapel pochází ze zapadlé vesničky na východě Rumunska. Od ostatních balkánských dechovek ji snadno rozeznáte: hraje s pankáčským nasazením a jazzovou virtuozitou. Kapela vznikla poblíž hranice s Moldávií, ve vesnici Zece Prajini, kde žije 80 romských rodin, které se po generace věnovaly svým polím a hudbě. Za totality to byl kraj odříznutý od civilizace, díky čemuž se tu uchovala hudba, která jinak v jiných krajích Rumunska zanikla. Kořeny této hudby sahají až do Osmanské říše a čerpají ze stylu tureckých vojenských kapel.

The World’s Fastest Roma Brass Band – and One of the Most Famous and Legendary Roma Bands – Returns to Prague!
Over the course of a career spanning a quarter of a century, the world’s fastest brass band has played more than 3,000 concerts around the globe and released a string of highly acclaimed albums. One of today’s finest live bands comes from a remote village in eastern Romania. They are easy to distinguish from other Balkan brass bands: they play with the energy of punk and the virtuosity of jazz. The band was formed near the Moldovan border in the village of Zece Prăjini, home to 80 Roma families who for generations have devoted themselves to farming and music. Under the communist regime, the region was largely cut off from the outside world, helping to preserve a musical tradition that disappeared elsewhere in Romania. Its roots reach back to the Ottoman Empire and the music of Turkish military bands.
