About this Event
Get ready to dive into the magic of nature with our fun and playful workshop for families. Great to add a natural touch for anybody who would like to explore eco-friendly art . We'll be painting with natural inks from hedgerow , kitchen or garden..
We will chat about which plants to forage and when and we will make a quick magic onion ink to paint with ( bring a small jar to take some home)
There will be a mix of plant inks and colours to paint with … perhaps from sloes, hawthorn berries, elderberries, walnuts or alder cones .You will have plenty of time to get creative… to experiment with different colours , using different substances such as lemon juice to change colours and using different tools to add inks to your drawings and painting
Everyone will take home a simple recipe for ink making and your own wonderful inky artistic creations.
Suitable for children 5 and up with an adult. Please book a ticket for each person.
This is a free event arranged as part of Art in East Herts. Donations to the library on the day will be most welcome .
