About this Event

Hunting for pixel art mosaics is the best family activity for visiting Paris.

Since 1998, street artist Invader has been invading the world by sticking his mosaic creations inspired by video games, pop culture, and geek culture on walls. Since 2014, he has been offering passers-by the chance to collect them by scanning them with his mobile game FlashInvaders, which is free and available on iOS and Android phones.

Paris is the best hunting ground, with more than 1,500 mosaics out of a total of 4,000 worldwide, spread across more than 85 cities.

This retro and arty Pokemon Go-style treasure hunt is the theme of our tour, but we will also take a look at everything else Parisian walls have to offer in terms of street art, especially pixel art.

Learn to recognize the style of each street artist and discover all their secrets.

Today, there are many street artists who create pixel art mosaics. Among them are Mifamosa, In the Woup, Mr Djoul, The Mosaist, and Zigom. Because they won't earn you any points on the FlashInvaders app, you tend to call them “fake Invaders.” Together, we'll learn about their worlds and understand how each of them has earned a place in the street art universe and plays their own role in our pixel art treasure hunt.
