Family STEM Night: DecemberThe Cosmic Journey of Jessica Meir
Join us at the Challenger Learning Center of Maine on November 5th for a special Family STEM Night celebrating one of Maine’s very own astronauts, Jessica Meir!
Through storytelling, science, and hands on exploration, we’ll celebrate Jessica’s incredible journey from a curious young explorer to a NASA astronaut.
Featured Guest: Jamie Hogan
Acclaimed Maine author and illustrator Jamie Hogan will join us for a live reading of her children’s book, The Cosmic Journey of Jessica Meir, sharing Jessica’s inspiring path to space.
Explore STEM Together
Families can take part in hands on STEM activities throughout the Challenger Center, with opportunities for kids and adults to explore science, engineering, creativity, and space exploration together.
And we’re launching our annual Mission Patch Contest!
This year’s contest will be inspired by Jessica Meir, the Artemis program, and humanity’s return to the Moon. Come to Family STEM Night to learn more about the challenge and get ready to design your own mission patch!
Whether you have a future astronaut at home, a budding artist, a young scientist, or you’re simply fascinated by Maine’s connection to space exploration, there will be something for the whole family.
