Get ready to make some noise at Family Literacy Adventures!
Join us for Sound It Out!, a playful family event filled with silly songs, rhyming, listening games and hands-on activities. We'll sing together with a guitar, experiment with homemade sound makers, try a whispering game and discover all the fun ways we can play with sounds.
Along the way, children will practice listening carefully, noticing rhymes and exploring the sounds we hear in words. These playful experiences help build the early language skills children need as they learn to read.
Parents will also have a chance to learn some simple, practical tips about speech sounds and how to support their child's early reading development.
Come ready to sing, listen, create and have fun together!
