What: This is a 1.5-hour in-person session. This session will use real-life case studies to explain the basic concepts of Hong Kong family law, legal procedures, and available support services in clear and accessible language. Participants will gain a better understanding of their rights, options, and the assistance available to them. The workshop will cover the below topics:
- The steps to getting a divorce in Hong Kong
- What to do about children and parenting arrangements
- Financial support, maintenance and property issues
- Housing and immigration concerns after a relationship ends
- Help available for domestic violence and family conflict
- Where to get free legal advice and support
Through real-life case studies, we'll explain your rights and options in plain language, with time for questions and answers.
