About this Event
"Remembering Our Families: Día de los Muertos, Family History, and Eternal Families"
Monday, November 2, 2026 from 7:00–8:15 PM
Join us for a special family-friendly evening focused on remembering those who came before us, sharing family stories, and learning how families can be connected across generations.
In connection with Día de los Muertos, a local family will share the meaning of this cherished cultural tradition and how remembering our ancestors can help turn the hearts of children toward their fathers.
The evening will also include a short lesson about family history and the importance of temple work in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Families and individuals are invited to bring a photograph of a deceased parent, grandparent, great-grandparent, or other loved one, along with a short story or memory to share with others.
We will also create a simple family-history paper chain, with each link representing a parent, grandparent, great-grandparent, or other relative. Families can take their chain home as a visual reminder of the generations that connect us.
Refreshments will be provided. All are welcome to attend.
