Barnsley Folk Festival's free family day returns after a successful 2026, suitable for all ages. This outdoor event will be full of traditional dance, storytelling, craft workshops and plenty of live music, including ceilidh and barn dance band The Rhythm Chaps; stalwarts of the local folk scene for over forty years.
There will be a a licensed outdoor bar, food vendors and a craft market.
The event event is free entry. Booking isn't essential, but it really helps us plan for the day if you do. You can come and go as you like.
Fingers crossed for good weather.
The full line-up will be announced early 2027.
