This year’s Fall Fest is about more than just a fun event. It represents a meaningful change for Busy Bodies Playhouse
We will not be celebrating Halloween this year.
As a Christian, I’ve felt increasingly called to step away from Halloween and its pagan roots and traditions. Scripture calls us to be the light of the world and the salt of the earth, and celebrating a holiday so closely associated with darkness no longer feels right in my spirit.
But that doesn’t mean we have to miss out on the joy of fall! 🍂
Instead, we’re creating Fall Fest, a celebration where families who do and don’t celebrate Halloween can come together, enjoy the beauty of the season, and make wonderful childhood memories without Halloween traditions being woven into the celebration.
We want to celebrate the things we LOVE about fall: pumpkins, apples, harvest, nature, candy apples, pumpkin spice, music, games, laughter, community and family! 🍎🍁
Our hope is to show families that you can have an incredibly joyful, magical childhood experience without feeling like you have to compromise your faith or your values to do it.
We’re choosing JOY. We’re choosing COMMUNITY. We’re choosing to be the LIGHT. ✨
