About this Event
Federal workers keep this country running.
On Sunday, October 11th, The ReUp Movement is setting up in Pasadena for an afternoon built around federal workers and their families. Come eat a hot meal, let the kids play, catch up with people who do the same work you do, and take home what your household needs. Everything at this event is free.
What's available
- Hot food, served on site
- Hygiene products
- Cleaning supplies
- Household and home goods
- Games and activities for the children
Who it's for
Current federal workers and their families; proof of employment required. Come as you are.
How the day works
We open at 1:00 PM. Stop at the check-in table when you arrive. One check-in per household; it takes about thirty seconds and it's how we keep track of what we sent out. Resources go out until 4:00 PM or until supplies run out, whichever comes first, so earlier is better.
Bring a bag or a cart if you have one. Boxes are limited.
Registering here helps us plan how much food to cook and how many boxes to load. It is not a requirement — walk-ups are welcome and nobody is turned away for not having a ticket.
About The ReUp Movement
The ReUp Movement is a Houston nonprofit built on a simple idea: everybody deserves a new beginning. Founded by Walter Barreda, ReUp serves hot meals and essential goods to people experiencing homelessness, supports low-income families across Texas and Louisiana, mentors students in Houston schools, and cleans up the neighborhoods it serves.
Want to help instead?
Choose the Volunteer ticket when you register. If you have goods to donate, reach out before October 11th so we can log and sort them ahead of the event.
