Family Ceilidh
Join us for an evening filled with laughter and traditional ceilidh dances at the Jessopp Road Scout & Community Hub!
Absolutely no experience required - all the steps for each dance will be explained by the caller, then everyone has a go at practicing them (several times), before we then start the music and all try to put it all together!
Be prepared for a fun, madcap evening of dancing and meeting everyone during the dances.
No need to bring a partner, or of differing sexes - everyone dances with everyone else and we all frequently change partners as part of the dance steps.
No-one gets it right all the time, but by the end of the night you'll have had some success for sure! And lots of fun.
Cash donations on the door for entry (£8 suggested for adults, £6 for U18s, or whatever you can afford).
All U18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Doors open at 7pm, dancing starts by 7:30pm depending how eager we are!
Delicious homemade cakes, savouries, hot & cold drinks and a raffle - so please bring some extra cash for these.
All funds raised will be used to invest in some heatwave-friendly white tents for the Jessopp Jackals Explorer Scouts Unit based here at Jessopp Road.
Free car parking on-site and no permits needed on the roads nearby.
