As part of North Star Reach’s Year of Mooseness, we’re excited to invite families to apply to a Family Camp Weekend: a joyful, connection-filled experience designed for families raising children with serious health challenges.
Family Camp Weekends are all about belonging, time together, and shared joy. Families enjoy classic camp activities while building relationships with others who truly understand their journey.
📅 Dates: Friday, October 23 - Sunday, October 25

💙 Cost: Completely FREE for families
✨ What to Expect
🏕️ Boating, arts & crafts, archery, campfires, hikes, and more
👨👩👧👦 Intentional activities planned so families can enjoy camp together
🤝 Opportunities to connect with other families who “get it”
🦌 Plenty of Mooseness, laughter, and unforgettable moments
👨👩👧👦 Who Can Attend
• Families with children ages 0–17 who have a serious health challenge
• Immediate family members living in the same household
• Each family may attend one Family Camp Weekend per year
Some weekends are General Sessions, welcoming families with children who have any serious medical diagnosis. Other weekends include a diagnosis-focused emphasis, intentionally creating opportunities for shared connection, while staying open and welcoming to all eligible families, as space allows.
🛏️ Housing & Accessibility
Families stay together in accessible cabins with:
• Heating & air conditioning
• Fully accessible bathrooms
• Bunk-style beds
• Space designed for shared family lodging
🩺 Medical & Safety
North Star Reach provides a medically supported, barrier-free environment and follows AAP immunization recommendations to ensure a safe experience for all families.
