Family Bedtime Stories with Chicago Public Library

Enjoy Destination Discovery Story Time in partnership with the Chicago Public Library. Wear your comfiest pajamas, grab your favorite stuffed animal, and join us for an after-hours museum experience designed just for our littlest patrons and caregivers! Start the evening with drawing activities and a poetry experience from Poems While You Wait, then talk, sing, and listen along to Librarian Megan who will share stories during this cozy evening of reading together. Light refreshments will be provided, and families are encouraged to bring along a blanket or cushion for comfortable seating.

Schedule:

4:30-5:30 PM / Drawing and poetry activities; drop in. Explore the galleries until 5:30 PM.

5:30-6:30 PM / Story Time with Librarian Megan from Chicago Public Library

While this program is drop-in, registration is strongly encouraged to help the Smart team best prepare for the day. Walk-ins will be welcome as space allows. If you no longer can attend, kindly release your tickets so other families can attend. Thank you!

Info: Work on coloring pages and enjoy a poetry experience facilitated by Poems While You Wait. With their team of poets and their typewriters, families provide a topic and receive a one-of-a-kind poem by the end of the program.

Info: The Smart's galleries will remain open for an extra hour, allowing families to view the current exhibitions together. Please be sure to leave all large bags, food/drink, and drawing materials in the lobby.
