About this Event
The first days of school should be filled with excitement, possibility, and connection—not fear and uncertainty.
For many immigrant families, heightened immigration enforcement has created a different kind of back-to-school season. Parents and caregivers may be carrying fear about family separation, while children and young people may be carrying questions, anxiety, and emotions they don't always know how to express.
Families should not have to carry that fear alone.
Join Siembra Today for Familias Fuertes, a warm and supportive community wellness gathering created for families and community members navigating the emotional impact of immigration enforcement and uncertainty.
This gathering offers a space to pause, connect, and care for our collective wellbeing. Together, we will explore how these experiences affect parents, children, and young people—and how we can create greater emotional safety, connection, and support within our families.
🔸A Community Healing Conversation
🔸Conscious Parenting & Youth Mental Health
🔸Sound Bath & Restorative Healing
We will close our gathering with a calming sound bath led by Erica Sandoval, LCSW, offering space to breathe, release tension, and simply be.
You do not need to have the right words or know exactly what you need. Come as you are.
This is a space to breathe, connect, learn, and heal together.
Because when our families are hurting, our community can help hold them.
We hold our families. We hold each other.
This gathering is a community wellness and support program and is not a substitute for individual mental health treatment or legal services.
