Miss any lifers that you wanted to see during spring migration? Come join us for a fall migration walk at Pinckney Recreation Area as a second chance to hear and see some birds on the move! We'll be walking along the 1-mile Losee Lake trail loop, winding through wooded hills, wetlands, and along Losee Lake - a kettle lake formed by glaciers thousands of years ago. We'll be on the lookout for woodpeckers, waterfowl, and warblers making their way south. Expect to hear some Sandhill Cranes, as they congregate in large numbers at this park in the fall.

TRIP DETAILS
There will be some elevation gain along the trail, along with rocks and roots, so bring some sturdy shoes or boots.
Entry to Pinckney Recreation Area requires a valid MI Recreation Passport vehicle entry. Enter the park off Silver Will Rd. Pass the park headquarters on your left and look for a parking lot on your right. Drive to the far end of the lot near the water. There is a trail head marker for Losee Lake Trail. Attendees will meet in the parking lot.
The park has bathrooms.
