Join us for a fall Knit-Along of the Aran Adventure Socks by Laurie Sand. This pattern features medium-weight yarn (works up quickly!) and showcases traditional sweater motifs such as cables and seed stitch.--Not for beginner knitters. Appropriate for confident early sock knitters who have made plain socks before.
--Must be able to cast on, knit, purl, decrease, pick up stitches, and work in the round. Cabling experience is preferred.
--We will be instructing on DPNs, though participants are welcome to do their project on small circular needles or a longer circular doing the magic loop method, if they are comfortable doing so.
--Bring your own supplies: medium weight wool or wool blend yarn (acrylic is NOT recommended), yarn needle, at least one stitch marker, size 5 DPNs or size needed to obtain gauge, and a cable needle.
October 5, 12, 19, 26. 4:30-6PM in the same room as Library Yarns (we will have the room reserved until 6:30)
Be aware that each session builds on the previous ones, so try to come to all sessions if you can!
